The CONFEMEN Ministers of Education meet every two years to adopt guidelines for the development of education systems.

CONFEMEN organizes a ministerial session every two years. Each ministerial session is held around a theme and results in the publication of a discussion and orientation document. The ministerial sessions held since 1998 are:

One of CONFEMEN’s missions is to facilitate consultation between ministers, experts and education stakeholders in order to develop common positions and formulate recommendations to support regional and international education policies.
